Narrative:
En route rjaa-rpmm, over position guleg on airway A590, south of miyakejima, first officer called tokyo control for routine position report on 125.9 and was informed by tokyo control 'that for the previous 15 min we have had an open microphone.' we checked all cockpit microphones and did not locate the offending unit. We checked several times with ATC for proper microphone operating and it did not repeat.

Narrative: ENRTE RJAA-RPMM, OVER POS GULEG ON AIRWAY A590, S OF MIYAKEJIMA, FO CALLED TOKYO CTL FOR ROUTINE POS RPT ON 125.9 AND WAS INFORMED BY TOKYO CTL 'THAT FOR THE PREVIOUS 15 MIN WE HAVE HAD AN OPEN MICROPHONE.' WE CHKED ALL COCKPIT MICROPHONES AND DID NOT LOCATE THE OFFENDING UNIT. WE CHKED SEVERAL TIMES WITH ATC FOR PROPER MICROPHONE OPERATING AND IT DID NOT REPEAT.
