Narrative:
We were preparing to push back from the gate, and the airplane was completely full. At the last possible moment, the agent came to the cockpit and said that he would have to take a non-revenue passenger off of the airplane because a revenue passenger had showed up at the last min. As the non-revenue passenger passed the cockpit, the captain asked him if he would like to ride the jumpseat and he replied that he would. The captain asked the agent if he had any objections to this, and he said 'no, I just want to get the flight out on time.' at no time was I asked my opinion, and it wasn't until the taxi out that I discovered that this person on the jumpseat wasn't a pilot, (as I had supposed) but the husband of a flight attendant who worked for 1 of our commuter affiliates. Not wanting to cause a scene, I didn't voice my objections, and the flight proceeded normally to our destination. The sad part of all this is that 2 days prior to this event I attended 'crew resource management' training where I was taught how to, as a first officer, voice my objections in a clear, concise manner. Obviously I failed miserably. In the future I will speak my mind, even if it means taxiing back to the gate.

Title: CAPT ALLOWED NON REVENUE PAX TO RIDE JUMP SEAT.
Narrative: WE WERE PREPARING TO PUSH BACK FROM THE GATE, AND THE AIRPLANE WAS COMPLETELY FULL. AT THE LAST POSSIBLE MOMENT, THE AGENT CAME TO THE COCKPIT AND SAID THAT HE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE A NON-REVENUE PAX OFF OF THE AIRPLANE BECAUSE A REVENUE PAX HAD SHOWED UP AT THE LAST MIN. AS THE NON-REVENUE PAX PASSED THE COCKPIT, THE CAPT ASKED HIM IF HE WOULD LIKE TO RIDE THE JUMPSEAT AND HE REPLIED THAT HE WOULD. THE CAPT ASKED THE AGENT IF HE HAD ANY OBJECTIONS TO THIS, AND HE SAID 'NO, I JUST WANT TO GET THE FLT OUT ON TIME.' AT NO TIME WAS I ASKED MY OPINION, AND IT WASN'T UNTIL THE TAXI OUT THAT I DISCOVERED THAT THIS PERSON ON THE JUMPSEAT WASN'T A PLT, (AS I HAD SUPPOSED) BUT THE HUSBAND OF A FLT ATTENDANT WHO WORKED FOR 1 OF OUR COMMUTER AFFILIATES.
