Narrative:
Departed private strip at aircraft owners residence in his aircraft. After he had flown to nwr airport and picked me up and flew back to his residence, he disembarked aircraft and I flew back to nwr. En route developed engine rough operation and made a precautionary landing onto deserted drag strip green valley raceway. No damage to aircraft, persons or property occurred. Aircraft had a VOR indicator removed from aircraft and data plate not installed on aircraft exterior. Fueled aircraft the next day and flew to nwr airport. Sumped water from left fuel tank and fuel strainer before refueling. Suspect water contamination caused problem. Water resulted in wrinkle in bladder tank.
