Narrative:
Clearance issued to taxi from terminal to runway 34 and hold short of 5R. I thought there was another hold short line closer to the runway, but there wasn't. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states they were cleared to cross 5L which was not active, and taxied to position of normal hold line perpendicular to runway 5R. Problem was hold line was well back from that point, before taxiway C turns. Company tries to conserve on lights so taxi lights not on, but taxiway lights very visible. However, with no taxi lights, hold line not visible. Reporter just being cautious by submitting report.

Title: LTT TAXIS BEYOND HOLD LINE WHERE CLRED DUE TO UNUSUAL PLACEMENT AND NOT USING TAXI LIGHT.
Narrative: CLRNC ISSUED TO TAXI FROM TERMINAL TO RWY 34 AND HOLD SHORT OF 5R. I THOUGHT THERE WAS ANOTHER HOLD SHORT LINE CLOSER TO THE RWY, BUT THERE WASN'T. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATES THEY WERE CLRED TO CROSS 5L WHICH WAS NOT ACTIVE, AND TAXIED TO POS OF NORMAL HOLD LINE PERPENDICULAR TO RWY 5R. RPTR JUST BEING CAUTIOUS BY SUBMITTING RPT.
