Narrative:
Takeoff adq mar/wed/92 PM14. Lost #2 engine after vr. Declared emergency, performed appropriate checklists, secured engine #2, returned for ILS. Initially, alternate landing gear extension did not bring right main gear down, cycled it 1 time and it came down. We circled in VMC just southeast of airport to accomplish this. Normal landing. FAA immediately on scene to check certificates. Next day I was ramp checked. In my estimate, things went well. The purpose of this letter is to avoid confrontation with the FAA due to digging up any dirt that I am unaware of.
