Narrative:
An improper interpretation of far 61.89 (M) (3) allowed me to endorse a student for solo without having flown with him in the past 90 day interval. I had previously flown with that student 116 days prior. Corrective action -- I engaged in refresher study and training in order to ensure I properly interpret far 61 subpart C. I then flew with that student in order to reassure he was still competent to conduct solo flight; as required by far 61.98 (M) (3).
