Narrative:

I carefully followed the marshaller's directions into the gate, I taxied slowly and watched cautiously. As the top of his hands touched, I set the brakes and shut down the engines. Immediately after shutting down I felt a vibration and assumed that it was jet blast from behind us. Upon deplaning I noticed an air hose had been partially ingested into the left engine. I believe the problem was caused by ground equipment being parked either too close or not secured properly. To prevent a recurrence I suggest ramps be kept cleaner. Supplemental information from acn 205898. The air cart was parked in front of the engine and apparently the hose was sucked off of the cart and into the engine.

Narrative: I CAREFULLY FOLLOWED THE MARSHALLER'S DIRECTIONS INTO THE GATE, I TAXIED SLOWLY AND WATCHED CAUTIOUSLY. AS THE TOP OF HIS HANDS TOUCHED, I SET THE BRAKES AND SHUT DOWN THE ENGS. IMMEDIATELY AFTER SHUTTING DOWN I FELT A VIBRATION AND ASSUMED THAT IT WAS JET BLAST FROM BEHIND US. UPON DEPLANING I NOTICED AN AIR HOSE HAD BEEN PARTIALLY INGESTED INTO THE L ENG. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY GND EQUIP BEING PARKED EITHER TOO CLOSE OR NOT SECURED PROPERLY. TO PREVENT A RECURRENCE I SUGGEST RAMPS BE KEPT CLEANER. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 205898. THE AIR CART WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF THE ENG AND APPARENTLY THE HOSE WAS SUCKED OFF OF THE CART AND INTO THE ENG.
