Narrative:
The aircraft we were to ferry to den was positioned facing the flight line. We asked that the aircraft be positioned 90 degrees to its original position due to its close proximity to another aircraft and the prevailing winds. Company ground personnel positioned us 180 degrees to the aircraft's original position (tail facing the flight line).the aircraft was approximately the length of an large transport away from some stands and aircraft parts. Company ground personnel were present during the entire start sequence. Started engines in feather. Selected condition levers to maximum. Propellers came out of feather. Power levers were set at flight idle. Company ground personnel signaled us to cut engines. We feathered and then shut down the engines. Widebody transport flap segments that company ground personnel had resting on the stands behind the aircraft (flaps had not been tied down) were moved by the propeller blast causing damage to them.

Title: DAMAGE OCCURS TO ACFT PARTS PLACED IN RAMP AREA UPON STARTUP OF MDT'S ENGS.
Narrative: THE ACFT WE WERE TO FERRY TO DEN WAS POSITIONED FACING THE FLT LINE. WE ASKED THAT THE ACFT BE POSITIONED 90 DEGS TO ITS ORIGINAL POS DUE TO ITS CLOSE PROX TO ANOTHER ACFT AND THE PREVAILING WINDS. CGP POSITIONED US 180 DEGS TO THE ACFT'S ORIGINAL POS (TAIL FACING THE FLT LINE).THE ACFT WAS APPROX THE LENGTH OF AN LGT AWAY FROM SOME STANDS AND ACFT PARTS. CGP WERE PRESENT DURING THE ENTIRE START SEQUENCE. STARTED ENGS IN FEATHER. SELECTED CONDITION LEVERS TO MAX. PROPS CAME OUT OF FEATHER. PWR LEVERS WERE SET AT FLT IDLE. CGP SIGNALED US TO CUT ENGS. WE FEATHERED AND THEN SHUT DOWN THE ENGS. WDB FLAP SEGMENTS THAT CGP HAD RESTING ON THE STANDS BEHIND THE ACFT (FLAPS HAD NOT BEEN TIED DOWN) WERE MOVED BY THE PROP BLAST CAUSING DAMAGE TO THEM.
