Narrative:
Observed traffic on TCASII at 11:30 O'clock position and approximately 6 mi climbing at 1500 ft below us at 3 mi 1000 ft below at 2 mi, and 12 O'clock position climbing 800 ft below. A TA was issued. I contacted the approach controller (mke approach on 126.5) and asked them if they had that traffic. They responded they did not! At 1 mi the traffic was 100 ft below us and climbing. An RA was issued to descend. We descended and advised approach that we were descending. At 4500 ft, we received the 'clear of traffic' and advised approach that we were clear and returning to 5000 ft. Traffic was now at our 6 O'clock position and 1 mi showing level at 5000 ft. We later observed the traffic at our 6 O'clock and 3 mi level at 5000 ft.
