Narrative:
During descent to 16000 over shine intersection we received a TA for 10500 traffic at 11 O'clock. ATC then calls unconfirmed VFR traffic at 10500. ATC said we 'might want' to level at 12000 until clear of traffic. At this time VFR traffic started to climb. We had past 12000 before ATC called, reading 11800. Last TCASII information noted, we were 11800 leveling from a descent, VFR traffic was 11200 in a climb. RA was issued with a reverse. As we started to climb back through 12000 I saw a single engine small aircraft go under aircraft 8-9 O'clock. TCASII did it's job.
