Narrative:
North of the airport we called it visually and were given the visual approach to runway 29 and to maintain 2500 ft MSL. We then got a TA on TCASII on traffic 1-2 mi ahead. While searching for this aircraft we descended through our assigned altitude and was called by approach to maintain 2500 ft.
