Narrative:

On approach into stl (visual) we were at less than 3000 ft when our TCASII gave an RA warning indicating that a problem existed. All advised traffic was in sight. We executed a missed approach from about 2500 ft. After we had landed we called ground to ask if there was any other traffic in the area. They advised there had been a cpr mdt off our left wingtip. While we never had visual contact with the intruder aircraft the TCASII showed him well inside the danger zone and at our altitude. Our last indication as we passed over him was 12 O'clock at 100 ft. We were not notified of this traffic until we were parked.
