Narrative:
During a missed approach for 12R at stl (because another aircraft was still on takeoff roll). Tower instructed us to 'climb to 2500 ft, traffic at 12 O'clock, and left turn to 100 degree.' as we turned to 100 degree I saw a light twin at our altitude coming off 12L. Tower said this aircraft was turning to 70 degree. I made a hard left turn to north and continued climb. I feel had I stayed on 100 degree with our closure rate I might have hit the light twin.

Title: AN LGT ACR CREW HAD A NMAC IN THE TFC PATTERN AFTER A MISSED APCH WITH AN ACFT THAT HAD JUST TAKEN OFF FROM A PARALLEL RWY.
Narrative: DURING A MISSED APCH FOR 12R AT STL (BECAUSE ANOTHER ACFT WAS STILL ON TKOF ROLL). TWR INSTRUCTED US TO 'CLB TO 2500 FT, TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK, AND L TURN TO 100 DEG.' AS WE TURNED TO 100 DEG I SAW A LIGHT TWIN AT OUR ALT COMING OFF 12L. TWR SAID THIS ACFT WAS TURNING TO 70 DEG. I MADE A HARD L TURN TO N AND CONTINUED CLB. I FEEL HAD I STAYED ON 100 DEG WITH OUR CLOSURE RATE I MIGHT HAVE HIT THE LIGHT TWIN.
