Narrative:

Takeoff warning horn sounded when throttles were advanced for takeoff. Pulled off runway and checked all takeoff warning items in proper position. Advanced each throttle again, but takeoff warning did not sound again. Made a normal takeoff. Maintenance cleared logbook entry by servicing nose strut. Apparently, improper strut inflation can affect air/ground switch and give false takeoff warning even when every pilot controled item is properly positioned. I suggested this information be included in the pilot's handbook.

Title: MLG HAS WARNING HORN SOUND WHEN THROTTLES ADVANCED. ABORT TKOF. UNABLE DUPLICATE, TKOF.

Narrative: TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED WHEN THROTTLES WERE ADVANCED FOR TKOF. PULLED OFF RWY AND CHKED ALL TKOF WARNING ITEMS IN PROPER POS. ADVANCED EACH THROTTLE AGAIN, BUT TKOF WARNING DID NOT SOUND AGAIN. MADE A NORMAL TKOF. MAINT CLRED LOGBOOK ENTRY BY SVCING NOSE STRUT. APPARENTLY, IMPROPER STRUT INFLATION CAN AFFECT AIR/GND SWITCH AND GIVE FALSE TKOF WARNING EVEN WHEN EVERY PLT CTLED ITEM IS PROPERLY POSITIONED. I SUGGESTED THIS INFO BE INCLUDED IN THE PLT'S HANDBOOK.
