Narrative:
The original climb instructions were to climb and maintain 15000. Shortly after takeoff, the altitude was amended to 11000. Passing 10000, I initiated and completed a climb checklist. We had been cleared direct to the junction VORTAC and I had the other pilot on board set in the frequency. While the other pilot giving us the frequency handoff to ft worth center when I was informed that they needed us level at 11000. I made an immediate bunt over and got us back to 11000 within a couple seconds. The maximum altitude I got to was 11700 ft. Shortly after leveling, we were informed of traffic at 7 O'clock, 3 mi; and then were handed off to ft worth. The WX for this flight was mostly clear and we were in VMC at the time of the incident. This was my 22ND day of work without a day off. My day began at XX00.
