Narrative:
After completion of pushback/engine start, parking brake was set for tug disconnect. An unmanned fuel truck approached from the left side of the nose and struck the #1 engine at the forward portion of the nacelle. Engines were shut down immediately no fire or fuel leakage was noted. Aircraft was towed to a jetway and all passengers were deplaned without injury. The fuel truck had apparently been left unattended with the engine running and the transmission in drive. Preventive measures in this case are obvious. Supplemental information from acn 210520. Aircraft was then inspected by all parties including FAA. Maintenance was performed and aircraft released for ferry flight approximately 4 hours later.
