Narrative:
During an approach to runway 22 at lga, we were given a go around by lga tower due to another aircraft still on the runway. We went around beginning approximately 400 ft. We did not see another aircraft on takeoff roll runway 31. It was later reported that the aircraft taking off near missed our aircraft during our go around. We did not see other aircraft due to body angle during go around. Supplemental information from acn 210523. The go around was executed promptly without a problem. The aircraft on the runway may have been the aircraft with a famous person on board. We were completely unaware of the other air carrier jet in question until the news media reported the incident. The large transport jet was taking off on runway 31.
