Narrative:
After having parked at gate in bos and shut engines down, after the maintenance had hooked up ground external power, the passenger had already deplaned and the aircraft had been chocked. I detected smoke from under the first officer's glareshield. Maintenance was called and they alerted operations to have fire crash rescue personnel to standby. No further action was taken on my part. Maintenance later discovered wiper motor had heated up.
