Narrative:
On approach to baltimore, I was PF and was on vectors for the airport. While talking to a previous controller, he pointed out other traffic and we saw them both. We were then handed off to another controller who was quite busy. The captain then yelled 'whoa' and grabbed the controls and executed a climbing right turn to avoid the traffic. When he yelled I looked over at him and saw the aircraft for a split second as it went under us. I never saw that aircraft approaching and was not told about it by ATC. I believe the problem here was that the controller simply forgot about both of us.
