Narrative:
*Mdt 1 is approaching the traffic pattern at 4100 ft at lyh. Mdt 2, the reporting act, is behind and above at 5000 ft. Mdt 2 gets a TCASII RA while passing over mdt 1, with tower approval. Mdt 2, now in front, gets a TCASII RA from an unknown aircraft. There is more jockeying around and confusion as to who might have whom in sight. Mdt 2 lands safely and, presumably, so does mdt 1.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: THE RPTING LTT HAD AN NMAC WITH ANOTHER LTT AND AN UNKNOWN INTRUDER IN THE LYH TFC PATTERN.
Narrative: *MDT 1 IS APCHING THE TFC PATTERN AT 4100 FT AT LYH. MDT 2, THE RPTING ACT, IS BEHIND AND ABOVE AT 5000 FT. MDT 2 GETS A TCASII RA WHILE PASSING OVER MDT 1, WITH TWR APPROVAL. MDT 2, NOW IN FRONT, GETS A TCASII RA FROM AN UNKNOWN ACFT. THERE IS MORE JOCKEYING AROUND AND CONFUSION AS TO WHO MIGHT HAVE WHOM IN SIGHT. MDT 2 LANDS SAFELY AND, PRESUMABLY, SO DOES MDT 1.
