Narrative:

The flight originated as an air ambulance flight to transport a federal prisoner from a prison in three rivers, tx, to a medical detention center in springfield, mo. I picked up a nurse in san antonio along with medical equipment. Then on to beeville, tx, to pick up prisoner with 2 armed guards and a doctor. Prisoner was handcuffed and shackled. Flight time at springfield was about 5.5 hours. The prisoner was left at the medical detention center. I flew the guards and doctor back to beeville, which was another 3.3 hours. Which put me over 8 hours if this last leg is considered 135 and not part 91. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he was concentrating more on whether he would exceed the 14 hour duty limits, that he wasn't paying attention to flight time limits.
