Narrative:
On taxi-in to gate, we followed the 2 guide persons' (initial guidance with 1 person who then turned control over to a second party) exact instructions into the parking spot. On making the hard turn into the parking spot, the left wingtip contacted the corner of a low out building near the ramp. None of the guide persons or wing walkers observed the wing contact the building. Recommend that aircraft be towed into these international gates with additional training given to those charged with wing walking or guidance responsibilities. Supplemental information from acn 213915: night was dark and humid so mist had formed upon unheated portions of cockpit windows which reduced our vision. Taxi light was turned off so as to not blind ground personnel. The left wing struck the building doing quite major non-structural damage. The wingtips cannot be seen from the cockpit without opening a large window. Question is, at what time or place does the ground flag persons assume control of the aircraft? Supplemental information from acn 214444: ground handler diligence, better taxiway markings, and crew briefing of this area will prevent further mishaps.
