Narrative:

I work as a controller at cdw tower in fairfield, nj. We have a very busy air traffic area in which there are a lot of overflts and aircraft using essex county airport. The problem arises when mmv uses the ILS runway 23 approach and when teb uses the VOR/DME-a approach. Both of these approachs run through the heart of cdw's air traffic area without being in contact with cdw tower. As it now stands, N90 need only advise us that the approach will be used and not about separate aircraft. This leaves many aircraft (mostly high performance jets) flying through our air traffic area in contact with 1 facility and aircraft flying under our control in our air traffic area on our frequency. This has led to many near misses and will someday lead to a midair!

Title: CTLR STATES THAT UNDER CERTAIN SITUATIONS, ACFT ENRTE TO ANOTHER ARPT FLY THROUGH THEIR ATA WITHOUT COM WITH THEIR FAC.

Narrative: I WORK AS A CTLR AT CDW TWR IN FAIRFIELD, NJ. WE HAVE A VERY BUSY ATA IN WHICH THERE ARE A LOT OF OVERFLTS AND ACFT USING ESSEX COUNTY ARPT. THE PROBLEM ARISES WHEN MMV USES THE ILS RWY 23 APCH AND WHEN TEB USES THE VOR/DME-A APCH. BOTH OF THESE APCHS RUN THROUGH THE HEART OF CDW'S ATA WITHOUT BEING IN CONTACT WITH CDW TWR. AS IT NOW STANDS, N90 NEED ONLY ADVISE US THAT THE APCH WILL BE USED AND NOT ABOUT SEPARATE ACFT. THIS LEAVES MANY ACFT (MOSTLY HIGH PERFORMANCE JETS) FLYING THROUGH OUR ATA IN CONTACT WITH 1 FACILITY AND ACFT FLYING UNDER OUR CTL IN OUR ATA ON OUR FREQ. THIS HAS LED TO MANY NEAR MISSES AND WILL SOMEDAY LEAD TO A MIDAIR!
