Narrative:

We had both engines running and were doing the taxi checklist. We had just pulled out of parking and made a right turn onto the taxiway heading for takeoff on runway 13. About 100 ft ahead of me, I noticed a fuel truck pull out on the taxiway from behind the FBO and stop on the yellow line. After stopping and inquiring with the co-captain what this guy was doing, I noticed there didn't seem to be a driver visible in the truck. Moments later a lineman emerged from the FBO and ran to the truck. He opened the drivers side door and entered the empty seat and drove the truck to the parking area. We continued taxiing without further threat. We perceived that taxiing about 60 seconds earlier could have been disastrous.

Title: AN LTT CREW HAD TO STOP THEIR ACFT TO GIVE WAY TO AN UNMANNED FUEL TRUCK.

Narrative: WE HAD BOTH ENGS RUNNING AND WERE DOING THE TAXI CHKLIST. WE HAD JUST PULLED OUT OF PARKING AND MADE A R TURN ONTO THE TAXIWAY HDG FOR TKOF ON RWY 13. ABOUT 100 FT AHEAD OF ME, I NOTICED A FUEL TRUCK PULL OUT ON THE TAXIWAY FROM BEHIND THE FBO AND STOP ON THE YELLOW LINE. AFTER STOPPING AND INQUIRING WITH THE CO-CAPT WHAT THIS GUY WAS DOING, I NOTICED THERE DIDN'T SEEM TO BE A DRIVER VISIBLE IN THE TRUCK. MOMENTS LATER A LINEMAN EMERGED FROM THE FBO AND RAN TO THE TRUCK. HE OPENED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND ENTERED THE EMPTY SEAT AND DROVE THE TRUCK TO THE PARKING AREA. WE CONTINUED TAXIING WITHOUT FURTHER THREAT. WE PERCEIVED THAT TAXIING ABOUT 60 SECONDS EARLIER COULD HAVE BEEN DISASTROUS.
