Narrative:
During climb out from stl to lax, I noticed a #2 oil filter pressure light on. We followed checklist procedure which requires the engine failure procedure. We shut down #2 engine as per checklist procedure and landed at mci with a full aircraft including jumpseats. The procedure went smoothly including fuel jettison to maximum landing weight of 358000 pounds -- 10000 pounds of fuel. We also landed very nicely, this crew worked together to accomplish all of the checklists and to safely handle this problem. Maintenance found a bad pressure switch for this light, after it was replaced we continued our flight to lax.
