Narrative:
Passenger disrupted the flight. During the incident he caused the 'a' flight attendant to bruise her right knee and to cut and bruise her right elbow. Passenger repeatedly came forward from his seat in 3F to the galley and forward flight attendant station. He would lie down on the floor and curl up in the fetal position and appear to attempt to sleep. Passenger actions were frightening to the entire crew. Passenger eyes were glazed and had a 'blank stare' look about them. He was not responsive to our commands to get off the floor and return to his seat or any other instructions. Based on our knowledge gained from our friendships with police officers we believed this passenger was in a drug induced calm. Our fear was that this calm can quickly turn violent and the potential for a violent outburst was great. It is a fact that persons under certain drugs feel no pain associated with their actions. This gives them the appearance of having super-human strength. Our concern was what effect a possible violent outburst would have on the safe completion of the flight. Whenever passenger was in the forward area of the aircraft a flight attendant or one of the several passenger who were assisting positioned themselves between passenger and the cockpit door. Passenger made numerous trips to lavatory and never secured the door lock. Passenger backed a flight attendant in the forward galley and asked for beer but accepted several glasses of water. He then attempted to close galley curtain behind him. At this time 3 male passenger from first class came to the galley to assist the flight attendant. Passenger decided to lie down on galley floor and sleep. 'A' flight attendant informed flight crew of passenger on the galley floor and the first officer went to the passenger and was not able to get any response from the passenger. First notification to scc via ACARS sent at this time. Aircraft at FL350 approximately over the kansas colorado border. Prior to landing first officer with the help of 2 passenger secured passenger in seat 3E for landing. 2 male passenger in seats 3D and 3F prevented any further movement by passenger. Upon arrival at the gate in las the metropolitan police handcuffed passenger and removed him from the plane. The rest of the passenger then deplaned with passenger lying on the jetway surrounded by the police. Paramedics did examination passenger in the jetway before he was taken away by the police. Passenger was detained in las jail for several hours. He posted 500 dollar bail and was freed. The next evening I called las metropolitan police department and found out that he was free and even spotted at las airport by the officers who arrested him the previous evening. I called dispatch to alert them and the captain on the las-phl flight. The captain talked to the passenger and after a long discussion allowed him on the flight with no further trouble.

Title: PAX ON ACR FLT CREATES HAVOC BY ACCOSTING FLT ATTENDANT, THEN LYING ON GALLEY FLOOR IN FETAL POS. LAW ENFORCEMENT AND PARAMEDICS MEET ACFT.
Narrative: PAX DISRUPTED THE FLT. DURING THE INCIDENT HE CAUSED THE 'A' FLT ATTENDANT TO BRUISE HER R KNEE AND TO CUT AND BRUISE HER R ELBOW. PAX REPEATEDLY CAME FORWARD FROM HIS SEAT IN 3F TO THE GALLEY AND FORWARD FLT ATTENDANT STATION. HE WOULD LIE DOWN ON THE FLOOR AND CURL UP IN THE FETAL POS AND APPEAR TO ATTEMPT TO SLEEP. PAX ACTIONS WERE FRIGHTENING TO THE ENTIRE CREW. PAX EYES WERE GLAZED AND HAD A 'BLANK STARE' LOOK ABOUT THEM. HE WAS NOT RESPONSIVE TO OUR COMMANDS TO GET OFF THE FLOOR AND RETURN TO HIS SEAT OR ANY OTHER INSTRUCTIONS. BASED ON OUR KNOWLEDGE GAINED FROM OUR FRIENDSHIPS WITH POLICE OFFICERS WE BELIEVED THIS PAX WAS IN A DRUG INDUCED CALM. WHENEVER PAX WAS IN THE FORWARD AREA OF THE ACFT A FLT ATTENDANT OR ONE OF THE SEVERAL PAX WHO WERE ASSISTING POSITIONED THEMSELVES BTWN PAX AND THE COCKPIT DOOR. PASSENGER MADE NUMEROUS TRIPS TO LAVATORY AND NEVER SECURED THE DOOR LOCK. PAX BACKED A FLT ATTENDANT IN THE FORWARD GALLEY AND ASKED FOR BEER BUT ACCEPTED SEVERAL GLASSES OF WATER. HE THEN ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE GALLEY CURTAIN BEHIND HIM. AT THIS TIME 3 MALE PAX FROM FIRST CLASS CAME TO THE GALLEY TO ASSIST THE FLT ATTENDANT. PAX DECIDED TO LIE DOWN ON GALLEY FLOOR AND SLEEP. 'A' FLT ATTENDANT INFORMED FLC OF PAX ON THE GALLEY FLOOR AND THE FO WENT TO THE PAX AND WAS NOT ABLE TO GET ANY RESPONSE FROM THE PAX. FIRST NOTIFICATION TO SCC VIA ACARS SENT AT THIS TIME. ACFT AT FL350 APPROX OVER THE KANSAS COLORADO BORDER. PRIOR TO LNDG FO WITH THE HELP OF 2 PAX SECURED PAX IN SEAT 3E FOR LNDG. 2 MALE PAX IN SEATS 3D AND 3F PREVENTED ANY FURTHER MOVEMENT BY PAX. UPON ARR AT THE GATE IN LAS THE METROPOLITAN POLICE HANDCUFFED PAX AND REMOVED HIM FROM THE PLANE. THE REST OF THE PAX THEN DEPLANED WITH PAX LYING ON THE JETWAY SURROUNDED BY THE POLICE. PARAMEDICS DID EXAM PAX IN THE JETWAY BEFORE HE WAS TAKEN AWAY BY THE POLICE. PAX WAS DETAINED IN LAS JAIL FOR SEVERAL HRS. HE POSTED 500 DOLLAR BAIL AND WAS FREED. THE NEXT EVENING I CALLED LAS METRO POLICE DEPT AND FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS FREE AND EVEN SPOTTED AT LAS ARPT BY THE OFFICERS WHO ARRESTED HIM THE PREVIOUS EVENING. I CALLED DISPATCH TO ALERT THEM AND THE CAPT ON THE LAS-PHL FLT. THE CAPT TALKED TO THE PAX AND AFTER A LONG DISCUSSION ALLOWED HIM ON THE FLT WITH NO FURTHER TROUBLE.
