Narrative:
While on a takeoff roll at night from an intersection on runway 3 at oun my aircraft struck an obstruction. After stopping the aircraft I saw that construction work was in progress on the runway and I had entered the construction area. I saw no markings, barricades, paint, lights or any other visual indications that the runway was closed prior to the takeoff roll. I had talked to mcalester FSS by telephone about 3 hours before departure and again about 30-40 mins prior to my attempted takeoff and was not advised of any NOTAMS concerning the flight. I believe the absence of any visual clues indicating a closed runway was the primary cause of the event. I believe visual indications placed prior to entering the runway from all accesses to runway 3 will prevent a recurrence.

Title: CORP ACFT STRIKES OBJECT ON TKOF ROLL AT NIGHT. STOPS ACFT AND NOTES CONSTRUCTION WORK IN PROGRESS.
Narrative: WHILE ON A TKOF ROLL AT NIGHT FROM AN INTXN ON RWY 3 AT OUN MY ACFT STRUCK AN OBSTRUCTION. AFTER STOPPING THE ACFT I SAW THAT CONSTRUCTION WORK WAS IN PROGRESS ON THE RWY AND I HAD ENTERED THE CONSTRUCTION AREA. I SAW NO MARKINGS, BARRICADES, PAINT, LIGHTS OR ANY OTHER VISUAL INDICATIONS THAT THE RWY WAS CLOSED PRIOR TO THE TKOF ROLL. I HAD TALKED TO MCALESTER FSS BY TELEPHONE ABOUT 3 HRS BEFORE DEP AND AGAIN ABOUT 30-40 MINS PRIOR TO MY ATTEMPTED TKOF AND WAS NOT ADVISED OF ANY NOTAMS CONCERNING THE FLT. I BELIEVE THE ABSENCE OF ANY VISUAL CLUES INDICATING A CLOSED RWY WAS THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF THE EVENT. I BELIEVE VISUAL INDICATIONS PLACED PRIOR TO ENTERING THE RWY FROM ALL ACCESSES TO RWY 3 WILL PREVENT A RECURRENCE.
