While at cruise flight FL290, TCASII RA to climb. TCASII altitude separation shown at 800 ft. Commenced climb to FL29.9. TCASII warnings ceased with no further traffic conflict. Advised ZOB of climb. ARTCC advised that descent back down to FL290 was not necessary since FL330 was requested prior to incident.

Narrative: WHILE AT CRUISE FLT FL290, TCASII RA TO CLB. TCASII ALT SEPARATION SHOWN AT 800 FT. COMMENCED CLB TO FL29.9. TCASII WARNINGS CEASED WITH NO FURTHER TFC CONFLICT. ADVISED ZOB OF CLB. ARTCC ADVISED THAT DSCNT BACK DOWN TO FL290 WAS NOT NECESSARY SINCE FL330 WAS REQUESTED PRIOR TO INCIDENT.
