Narrative:
I was given taxi instructions which are not the normal because of numerous construction projects on the airport. When I realized I was slightly crossing the active runway and saw a landing medium large transport, I immediately crossed the runway and the medium large transport initiated a go around. I believe there would have been no accident but I have no excuse for entering the active runway.

Title: SMT PLT BECOMES DISORIENTED DUE TO UNUSUAL TAXI INSTRUCTIONS BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTION. MLG GAR.
Narrative: I WAS GIVEN TAXI INSTRUCTIONS WHICH ARE NOT THE NORMAL BECAUSE OF NUMEROUS CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS ON THE ARPT. WHEN I REALIZED I WAS SLIGHTLY XING THE ACTIVE RWY AND SAW A LNDG MLG, I IMMEDIATELY CROSSED THE RWY AND THE MLG INITIATED A GAR. I BELIEVE THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN NO ACCIDENT BUT I HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR ENTERING THE ACTIVE RWY.
