Narrative:
Aircraft X was given a left turn to 240 heading and descend to 2000 ft. He went into a right turn; my trainee told him to turn left when he was 1/2 way into the right turn. I told trainee to tell pilot to continue in the right turn. All of a sudden we realized he was in a descent. By the time trainee told pilot to climb immediately aircraft had already reached 1;100 ft. Pilot sounded disoriented so I told trainee to ask pilot if he was ok.
