Narrative:
West of localizer being vectored for ILS runway 3L at dtw. The vectors took us east of the localizer. We were IMC when our TCASII issued an RA of climb, climb, climb. A climb was initiated promptly, then the controller told us to climb to 6000 ft. TCASII then issued a monitor vertical speed. Level off was completed at 6000 ft. We completed the 3L ILS and landed.
