Narrative:
During climb through about 6000 ft, aircraft began to yaw and roll. After 3 rapid incidents of this type, the upper rudder yaw damper was disconnected and aircraft control returned to normal. Advised departure control we had experienced a flight control problem but anticipated no further problems. An emergency was not declared, but asked for the trucks to standby as a precaution. Landing at dfw was uneventful.
