Narrative:

While on the blue ridge arrival into dfw level at 11000 approach advised that we had traffic at 1 O'clock climbing through 9000 ft to level at 10000 ft. Aircraft was idented on TCASII and visual. First officer called traffic in sight. TCASII subsequently commanded a climb and captain chose to respond and climbed to 12000 ft. After TCASII RA ceased, captain returned to 11000 ft. First officer advised ATC and no conflict with any other traffic occurred.

Title: ACR ON STAR HAS VISUAL CONTACT WITH ACFT SEEN ON TCASII. RECEIVE AN RA AND RESPOND WITH CLB.

Narrative: WHILE ON THE BLUE RIDGE ARR INTO DFW LEVEL AT 11000 APCH ADVISED THAT WE HAD TFC AT 1 O'CLOCK CLBING THROUGH 9000 FT TO LEVEL AT 10000 FT. ACFT WAS IDENTED ON TCASII AND VISUAL. FO CALLED TFC IN SIGHT. TCASII SUBSEQUENTLY COMMANDED A CLB AND CAPT CHOSE TO RESPOND AND CLBED TO 12000 FT. AFTER TCASII RA CEASED, CAPT RETURNED TO 11000 FT. FO ADVISED ATC AND NO CONFLICT WITH ANY OTHER TFC OCCURRED.
