Narrative:
During radar vectors for downwind runway 26L phx sky harbor we got TCASII RA intruder alert for traffic and were told to climb (don't descend) so we stopped descent and actually climbed some 300 ft from 7200 to 7500 (not sure of altitude). We could not see the intruder and presently the warning ceased. Upon notifying ATC he said that he could see nothing. We continued approach with no further incident.

Title: MLG HAS TCASII RA. TRACON SAYS NO TFC.
Narrative: DURING RADAR VECTORS FOR DOWNWIND RWY 26L PHX SKY HARBOR WE GOT TCASII RA INTRUDER ALERT FOR TFC AND WERE TOLD TO CLB (DON'T DSND) SO WE STOPPED DSCNT AND ACTUALLY CLBED SOME 300 FT FROM 7200 TO 7500 (NOT SURE OF ALT). WE COULD NOT SEE THE INTRUDER AND PRESENTLY THE WARNING CEASED. UPON NOTIFYING ATC HE SAID THAT HE COULD SEE NOTHING. WE CONTINUED APCH WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENT.
