Narrative:
On takeoff iah after advancing throttles, the takeoff warning sounded. We immediately retarded throttles, checking flaps, trim, and speed brake. All were in proper position. Advanced throttles again, horn sounded. We taxied off runway. Checked all possible takeoff position. Got permission from tower for a power check. After advancing throttles, the horn did not sound. Obtained new dispatch clearance, flew to fll. On return trip fll to iah, raising speed brake handle out of detent. Noticed after stowing speed brake, armed light would not go out. Had to repeat depressing and shaking handle several times before light would go out. Wrote up same on landing houston.
