Narrative:

Cabin crew/maintenance -- on oct/thu/92, I was assigned mdt 1 for a round trip to lft. Flight attendant reported that there were no oxygen masks in cabin for customers (5 required). Delayed the flight until an aircraft came onto the ramp that had extra masks. On oct/wed/92, I flew mdt 1 on 2 round trips just after it came out of a maintenance visit. No cabin problems were reported (except for a flight attendant flashlight). 2 crews flew mdt 1 after I did and before I picked it up again. I can only assume that the masks were not replaced after the maintenance visit and were not missed by 3 flight attendants. My flight attendant on oct/thu/92 found and reported the discrepancy.

Narrative: CABIN CREW/MAINT -- ON OCT/THU/92, I WAS ASSIGNED MDT 1 FOR A ROUND TRIP TO LFT. FLT ATTENDANT RPTED THAT THERE WERE NO OXYGEN MASKS IN CABIN FOR CUSTOMERS (5 REQUIRED). DELAYED THE FLT UNTIL AN ACFT CAME ONTO THE RAMP THAT HAD EXTRA MASKS. ON OCT/WED/92, I FLEW MDT 1 ON 2 ROUND TRIPS JUST AFTER IT CAME OUT OF A MAINT VISIT. NO CABIN PROBLEMS WERE RPTED (EXCEPT FOR A FLT ATTENDANT FLASHLIGHT). 2 CREWS FLEW MDT 1 AFTER I DID AND BEFORE I PICKED IT UP AGAIN. I CAN ONLY ASSUME THAT THE MASKS WERE NOT REPLACED AFTER THE MAINT VISIT AND WERE NOT MISSED BY 3 FLT ATTENDANTS. MY FLT ATTENDANT ON OCT/THU/92 FOUND AND RPTED THE DISCREPANCY.
