Narrative:

I took off from lvk for hwd. I forgot to check the fuel when I left lvk, and the engine quit 7 mi out over the hills, no place to land. I called may day and got hwd tower, they sent a chopper out, and he talked me down to the 580 freeway in castro valley, I landed in the center between the east and wbound lanes without damage to my plane or myself. No property damage to anyone.

Narrative: I TOOK OFF FROM LVK FOR HWD. I FORGOT TO CHK THE FUEL WHEN I LEFT LVK, AND THE ENG QUIT 7 MI OUT OVER THE HILLS, NO PLACE TO LAND.
