Narrative:

Over vhp VOR we got distracted by a right hydraulic failure warning lights. While we were trying to figure out our problem, I got distracted again over fwa VOR and was late to intercept the arrival into dtw. Not being able to fix our hydraulic loss of pressure, I declared an emergency. We had to extend our gear manually. We made a smooth and eventless landing at dtw airport and cleared the runway. We parked on a taxiway and waited for emergency team to inspect the landing gear. Our maintenance personnel came soon after, relatched the landing gear doors which were hanging down after the free-fall gear extension. We received clearance from ground control to be towed into our gate. No damages were sustained, no injury either except for a passenger who hyperventilated for a few mins.
