Narrative:
While IFR, landing gear malfunction was observed. Shortly thereafter, directional gyroscope flag was observed. Was determined to cut our flight short and make a precautionary landing. Aircraft was landed approximately 250 pounds over maximum landing weight.

Title: GOV SMT HAS EQUIP PROBLEM. MAKES PRECAUTIONARY LNDG 250 POUNDS OVERWT.
Narrative: WHILE IFR, LNDG GEAR MALFUNCTION WAS OBSERVED. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, DIRECTIONAL GYROSCOPE FLAG WAS OBSERVED. WAS DETERMINED TO CUT OUR FLT SHORT AND MAKE A PRECAUTIONARY LNDG. ACFT WAS LANDED APPROX 250 POUNDS OVER MAX LNDG WT.
