Narrative:
Small transport received taxi clearance to runway 29 at north island (nzy) san diego, ca. We started taxi sbound on taxiway 2E. As we approached a xway over the taxiway for civilian cars, a car pulls out in the taxiway just in front of the aircraft. The car is pulling out from our right side where he ran a stop sign also marked 'yield for all aircraft.' as the car reached the taxiway from the stop sign approximately 30 ft, we had no way to avoid the incident, even if we both were on the brakes. The car first hit the aircraft in the nose gear then the left engine and left wing tip tank. Cars crossing an active taxiway should be prohibited.
