Narrative:

Flight was a nonstop lax-bwi. Gwr was the alternate. Before mgw we were given delay vectors. At msy we were put in holding for 2 turns with 15 mi legs. We were then put in holding at EMI. The approach in use was VOR runway 10 landing 10. While holding at EMI dispatch told us to divert to ewr. On handoff to center we were advised that ewr was holding and not accepting traffic from center. Bwi was the closest airport. We requested priority handling to bwi due to fuel. Dispatch then gave us phl as our alternate. We had sufficient fuel to fly the approach to bwi fly to phl and still have reserve fuel but we had used all holding fuel. At gate in bwi we had 6300 pounds. Fuel burn to phl was 2600 pounds, reserve was 3600. The request for priority handling was justified.

Narrative: FLT WAS A NONSTOP LAX-BWI. GWR WAS THE ALTERNATE. BEFORE MGW WE WERE GIVEN DELAY VECTORS. AT MSY WE WERE PUT IN HOLDING FOR 2 TURNS WITH 15 MI LEGS. WE WERE THEN PUT IN HOLDING AT EMI. THE APCH IN USE WAS VOR RWY 10 LNDG 10. WHILE HOLDING AT EMI DISPATCH TOLD US TO DIVERT TO EWR. ON HDOF TO CTR WE WERE ADVISED THAT EWR WAS HOLDING AND NOT ACCEPTING TFC FROM CTR. BWI WAS THE CLOSEST ARPT. WE REQUESTED PRIORITY HANDLING TO BWI DUE TO FUEL. DISPATCH THEN GAVE US PHL AS OUR ALTERNATE. WE HAD SUFFICIENT FUEL TO FLY THE APCH TO BWI FLY TO PHL AND STILL HAVE RESERVE FUEL BUT WE HAD USED ALL HOLDING FUEL. AT GATE IN BWI WE HAD 6300 POUNDS. FUEL BURN TO PHL WAS 2600 POUNDS, RESERVE WAS 3600. THE REQUEST FOR PRIORITY HANDLING WAS JUSTIFIED.
