Narrative:
Aborted takeoff on runway 36 at dca. Speed was approximately 40 KTS. There was a small transport taking off on runway 03. The tower told him to cancel takeoff clearance which alerted me to look for him. He did not appear to be aborting, so I did. We both got stopped before the runways intersect. The tower had apparently cleared us both for takeoff.

Title: LGT CLRED FOR TKOF HEARS SMT TOLD TO ABORT. SIGHTS TFC WHICH DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ABORTING. RPTR ABORTS.
Narrative: ABORTED TKOF ON RWY 36 AT DCA. SPD WAS APPROX 40 KTS. THERE WAS A SMT TAKING OFF ON RWY 03. THE TWR TOLD HIM TO CANCEL TKOF CLRNC WHICH ALERTED ME TO LOOK FOR HIM. HE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ABORTING, SO I DID. WE BOTH GOT STOPPED BEFORE THE RWYS INTERSECT. THE TWR HAD APPARENTLY CLRED US BOTH FOR TKOF.
