Narrative:
While established on the downwind, I saw another aircraft coming across midfield to enter the downwind, contrary to aim traffic pattern entry procedures. Granted I saw him the whole time, but I stayed put on the downwind to see what he'd do. He saw us, and turned to parallel us on the downwind, just inside us and high. Well, now I can't see him since we're a high wing. Just as I was turning base (cautiously; announcing my intentions) he says 'small aircraft on base, what the hell are you doing?' ah, and I had a good come back: 'that's what I was wondering about you -- apparently you don't know how to enter a downwind.' he kept bitchin'... Anyway, we did our touch-north-go at hqz airport, and as we turned downwind again I see another airplane converging perpendicular to me on the midfield! He called 'over the top' and said he was entering the downwind. This guy was a tad smarter, however, and after seeing me broke off and did a teardrop to drop in behind me. These midfield 'over the top' downwind entries are dangerous! I'm surprised more accidents haven't happened as a result. People should be taught to enter at a 45 degree downwind, period.

Title: WRONG TFC PATTERN ENTRY AT UNCLTED ARPT.
Narrative: WHILE ESTABLISHED ON THE DOWNWIND, I SAW ANOTHER ACFT COMING ACROSS MIDFIELD TO ENTER THE DOWNWIND, CONTRARY TO AIM TFC PATTERN ENTRY PROCS. JUST AS I WAS TURNING BASE (CAUTIOUSLY; ANNOUNCING MY INTENTIONS) HE SAYS 'SMA ON BASE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?' AH, AND I HAD A GOOD COME BACK: 'THAT'S WHAT I WAS WONDERING ABOUT YOU -- APPARENTLY YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO ENTER A DOWNWIND.' HE KEPT BITCHIN'... ANYWAY, WE DID OUR TOUCH-N-GO AT HQZ ARPT, AND AS WE TURNED DOWNWIND AGAIN I SEE ANOTHER AIRPLANE CONVERGING PERPENDICULAR TO ME ON THE MIDFIELD! PEOPLE SHOULD BE TAUGHT TO ENTER AT A 45 DEG DOWNWIND, PERIOD.
