Narrative:
Traffic management unit at the ny TRACON approved mlt X direct rbv direct ign landing swf. Mlt X had to go through 8 different sectors in order to short cut him to his destination. Mlt X was level at 17000, I had clearance down to 5000 with another controller. While mlt X was descending, I noticed air carrier Y come off of hpn. It appeared that air carrier Y would conflict with mlt X. I had the other controller turn air carrier Y north and climb to 16000. It all looked good until air carrier Y started descending out of 14300 for 12000 and turning wbound right at mlt X. I screamed out, what is air carrier Y doing? The aircraft were descending about the same rate. It appeared that the aircraft were going to come together. I told mlt X to descend immediately out of 12000, then I told him to increase out of 11000. At this time, I could do no more. The aircraft came entirely too close for comfort. After all, we are talking about vip mlt X. I still have not heard from the supervisor or controller why air carrier Y turned wbound and descended.

Title: TRACON INTRAFAC COORD. ACR Y UNCOORD DSCNT AND RADAR VECTOR AIRSPACE ENTRY HAD LTSS FROM VIP MLT X. SYS ERROR.
Narrative: TFC MGMNT UNIT AT THE NY TRACON APPROVED MLT X DIRECT RBV DIRECT IGN LNDG SWF. MLT X HAD TO GO THROUGH 8 DIFFERENT SECTORS IN ORDER TO SHORT CUT HIM TO HIS DEST. MLT X WAS LEVEL AT 17000, I HAD CLRNC DOWN TO 5000 WITH ANOTHER CTLR. WHILE MLT X WAS DSNDING, I NOTICED ACR Y COME OFF OF HPN. IT APPEARED THAT ACR Y WOULD CONFLICT WITH MLT X. I HAD THE OTHER CTLR TURN ACR Y N AND CLB TO 16000. IT ALL LOOKED GOOD UNTIL ACR Y STARTED DSNDING OUT OF 14300 FOR 12000 AND TURNING WBOUND RIGHT AT MLT X. I SCREAMED OUT, WHAT IS ACR Y DOING? THE ACFT WERE DSNDING ABOUT THE SAME RATE. IT APPEARED THAT THE ACFT WERE GOING TO COME TOGETHER. I TOLD MLT X TO DSND IMMEDIATELY OUT OF 12000, THEN I TOLD HIM TO INCREASE OUT OF 11000. AT THIS TIME, I COULD DO NO MORE. THE ACFT CAME ENTIRELY TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT. AFTER ALL, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT VIP MLT X. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THE SUPVR OR CTLR WHY ACR Y TURNED WBOUND AND DSNDED.
