Narrative:
From hover at FBO I called tower with bravo and requested taxi to 32 for multiple touch and go's. Tower came back and said taxi 32. I read back clearance saying cleared 32 thinking I was given a clearance onto the runway so I taxied onto the runway. Controller asked me what I was doing on the runway, I told him I had been cleared onto the runway. He disagreed. After the flight, the tower asked me to call them. I did so and the tower manager told me I had a runway incursion. I told him I thought he cleared me onto the runway, I got no hold short instructions. He told me he didn't have to give me a hold short. I left it at 'I don't want to get into an argument about a miscom'. He continued to clarify his instructions. It was left at we would understand each other a little better. The tower manager said no administrative action would be taken. No other aircraft were flying or taxiing in the area at the time of the occurrence.

Title: HELI CLRED TO RWY 32 TAXIED ONTO THE RWY THINKING A CLRNC TO TAXI IS ALSO CLRNC ONTO THE RWY.
Narrative: FROM HOVER AT FBO I CALLED TWR WITH BRAVO AND REQUESTED TAXI TO 32 FOR MULTIPLE TOUCH AND GO'S. TWR CAME BACK AND SAID TAXI 32. I READ BACK CLRNC SAYING CLRED 32 THINKING I WAS GIVEN A CLRNC ONTO THE RWY SO I TAXIED ONTO THE RWY. CTLR ASKED ME WHAT I WAS DOING ON THE RWY, I TOLD HIM I HAD BEEN CLRED ONTO THE RWY. HE DISAGREED. AFTER THE FLT, THE TWR ASKED ME TO CALL THEM. I DID SO AND THE TWR MGR TOLD ME I HAD A RWY INCURSION. I TOLD HIM I THOUGHT HE CLRED ME ONTO THE RWY, I GOT NO HOLD SHORT INSTRUCTIONS. HE TOLD ME HE DIDN'T HAVE TO GIVE ME A HOLD SHORT. I LEFT IT AT 'I DON'T WANT TO GET INTO AN ARGUMENT ABOUT A MISCOM'. HE CONTINUED TO CLARIFY HIS INSTRUCTIONS. IT WAS LEFT AT WE WOULD UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER A LITTLE BETTER. THE TWR MGR SAID NO ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION WOULD BE TAKEN. NO OTHER ACFT WERE FLYING OR TAXIING IN THE AREA AT THE TIME OF THE OCCURRENCE.
