Narrative:
Plane outside for 2 weeks in wi -- snow covered day prior to departure. Had plane deiced and placed in heated hangar by FBO. Plane preflted without noticing of problem. Departure unremarkable. Autoplt on and climb rate 500-600 FPM. About 12-15 min into flight, nearing milwaukee, noted low airspeed. Broke altitude 15000 ft. Pitot heat on at takeoff and in flight. Required 2-3 mins to get things sorted out -- some significant altitude variations. Alternate air selected -- no further problem. Landed milwaukee, kept plane in heated hangar. 'Drained' checked line in am, all ok. Departed for remainder of flight to detroit area without further incident. No plane or property damage. Personal performance problem of not early recognition (did not expect in view of heated hangar, preflight, etc). Most perplexing part was that I did not fly plane well during that few mins -- outcome ok.
