Narrative:

While being vectored to ILS 9L, to visual at mia on assigned heading 150 in clouds, we descended to 2500 ft. While still in clouds mia approach advised: 'field at 12 O'clock.' seconds after we broke out we saw traffic at 12 O'clock and the airport at 10 O'clock, at this time we were on the extended centerline of runway 9L. After being cleared visual approach runway 9L and turning final, flaps did not show proper confign. We called go around to run abnormal flap procedure. Tower assigned us 2000 ft. Climbing through 1700 ft we had an RA commanding descent (traffic not in sight). Next RA was to increase descent. Tower sent us to departure control without assigning any frequency and started climb to 2000 ft overshooting the assigned altitude by approximately 300 ft. Returned to 2000 ft and after being reclred to 3000 ft we ran the abnormal flap procedure. Flaps were ok next cycle. The remainder of the flight was uneventful.

Title: FLC OF ACR LGT ACFT DEVIATED FROM ASSIGNED ALT IN RESPONDING TO A TCASII RA DURING A MISSED APCH RESULTING FROM AN ABNORMAL FLAP INDICATION DURING APCH.

Narrative: WHILE BEING VECTORED TO ILS 9L, TO VISUAL AT MIA ON ASSIGNED HDG 150 IN CLOUDS, WE DSNDED TO 2500 FT. WHILE STILL IN CLOUDS MIA APCH ADVISED: 'FIELD AT 12 O'CLOCK.' SECONDS AFTER WE BROKE OUT WE SAW TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK AND THE ARPT AT 10 O'CLOCK, AT THIS TIME WE WERE ON THE EXTENDED CTRLINE OF RWY 9L. AFTER BEING CLRED VISUAL APCH RWY 9L AND TURNING FINAL, FLAPS DID NOT SHOW PROPER CONFIGN. WE CALLED GAR TO RUN ABNORMAL FLAP PROC. TWR ASSIGNED US 2000 FT. CLBING THROUGH 1700 FT WE HAD AN RA COMMANDING DSCNT (TFC NOT IN SIGHT). NEXT RA WAS TO INCREASE DSCNT. TWR SENT US TO DEP CTL WITHOUT ASSIGNING ANY FREQ AND STARTED CLB TO 2000 FT OVERSHOOTING THE ASSIGNED ALT BY APPROX 300 FT. RETURNED TO 2000 FT AND AFTER BEING RECLRED TO 3000 FT WE RAN THE ABNORMAL FLAP PROC. FLAPS WERE OK NEXT CYCLE. THE REMAINDER OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
