Narrative:

Approximately 1.5 mi final to runway 22 lga we received an RA, initially to reduce descent, then to climb. We complied with TCASII commands and executed a missed approach. Traffic was never sighted and was not known to lga tower. While being vectored for another approach, we received another RA to climb. Again, we followed TCASII commands. Traffic was spotted visually. TCASII command confirmed correct! Traffic was being worked by lga approach and was at our altitude of 3000 ft. Flight landed uneventfully. TCASII works!
