Narrative:
I did not receive a response from an aircraft to a control instruction. I noticed the frequency modulating, though. I went to stand-by and back to main, which restored communication. This is an ongoing problem and is potentially very dangerous if a timely acknowledgement of an instruction is necessary.

Narrative: I DID NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM AN ACFT TO A CTL INSTRUCTION. I NOTICED THE FREQ MODULATING, THOUGH. I WENT TO STAND-BY AND BACK TO MAIN, WHICH RESTORED COM. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROB AND IS POTENTIALLY VERY DANGEROUS IF A TIMELY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF AN INSTRUCTION IS NECESSARY.
