Narrative:
While on pipeline patrol, the aircraft experienced fuel starvation symptoms. When unable to maintain altitude I made a landing in an open field. There was no damage done and no injuries. The problem was traced to trash in the fuel which plugged the fuel filter.

Title: FUEL STARVATION CAUSES AN OFF ARPT FORCED LNDG.
Narrative: WHILE ON PIPELINE PATROL, THE ACFT EXPERIENCED FUEL STARVATION SYMPTOMS. WHEN UNABLE TO MAINTAIN ALT I MADE A LNDG IN AN OPEN FIELD. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE DONE AND NO INJURIES. THE PROB WAS TRACED TO TRASH IN THE FUEL WHICH PLUGGED THE FUEL FILTER.
